Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 18
3718
With Liverpool away on Club World Cup duty in Qatar, the Reds’ game with West Ham has been postponed. For the first time this season, we don’t have a full list of fixtures. So, which players should we draft in to replace our absent stars?
Here are this week’s top Fantasy Football picks.
Goalkeeper
Aaron Ramsdale – Bournemouth
The Cherries returned to winnings ways last time out with an impressive victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Four clean sheets in his last nine games mean Ramsdale is tied with Kasper Schmeichel at the top of the goalkeeper leaderboard.
Defenders
Matt Doherty – Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolves’ system allows the wing-backs to push up into advanced positions. This has seen Doherty pick up a couple of goals and assists this season, while also claiming clean sheets. Struggling Norwich are next up for Nuno’s men, so Doherty is likely to be in the thick of the action this weekend.
Martin Kelly – Crystal Palace
Due to a number of injury problems for Roy Hodgson’s side, Kelly has featured heavily for the Eagles this season. Only Liverpool and Leicester have conceded fewer goals than Palace in the division, so Kelly could be in for another shutout against Newcastle.
Midfielders
Richarlison – Everton
Despite Everton’s woes this season, Richarlison has continued to pick up Fantasy Football points. The Brazilian has scored six goals and created three so far, and with a shaky Arsenal backline leaking goals at the moment, the Toffees’ main man will be confident of adding to his tally in Round 18.
Lucas Moura – Tottenham Hotspur
Son Heung-min and Dele Alli may seem like good in-form picks right now, but Lucas has scored in each of his last two games and is the cheaper rate option of the Spurs’ midfield trio. Chelsea’s defence has been a cause for concern this term, so Lucas is likely to fancy his chances again this weekend.
Forwards
Marcus Rashford – Manchester United
Marcus Rashford is arguably in the form of his life at the moment. The England forward has netted seven goals and recorded three assists in his past nine games. Watford are the Red Devils’ Round 18 opponents, and they have one of the worst defensive records in the league.
Danny Ings – Southampton
Ings has scored exactly 50% of Southampton’s league goals this season and the former Liverpool striker has bagged eight in his last 11 appearances. If Saints are to score against fellow relegation strugglers Aston Villa on Saturday, you can almost guarantee that Ings will be involved.
