Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 5
5566

The Premier League is back after the international break, meaning you need to start thinking about making your picks for the upcoming round of Fantasy Football.

With Newcastle travelling to Anfield, is it time to pack your team with Liverpool stars? Can Crystal Palace keep another clean sheet? Will James and Vardy continue to fire?

Let’s take a look at the top picks for Round 5.

Goalkeeper

No one expected the veteran Spaniard to be playing such a pivotal role for Liverpool this season, but with the Red’s first-choice goalkeeper Alisson still sidelined with an injury, Adrian continues to be Jurgen Klopp’s ‘number one’. With Newcastle United up next for Liverpool, Adrian is unlikely to be troubled too much and a clean sheet is on the cards.

Defenders

Crystal Palace boast the best defensive record in the Premier League this season after conceding just two goals in their opening four matches, and Joel Ward has featured in every league match so far. With clean sheets against Sheffield United and Everton, the Eagles travel to Spurs in Round 5 and will be looking to continue their impressive start. Ward is a great value-for-money pick.

The young right-back picked up a whopping twelve Premier League assists last season and has two to his name already this term. Liverpool also conceded the lowest number of goals in the league last season, leading to Trent Alexander-Arnold picking up an impressive amount of points on a consistent basis. A guaranteed top pick.

Midfielders

Everton have started the season well and Richarlison is in red-hot form. The Brazilian has been terrorizing defenses and has scored two goals in four matches. Everton travel to Bournemouth this weekend and the Cherries have endured a mixed start. Richarlison will be keen to add to his goal tally.

Daniel James already looks un-droppable for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United. The electric Welshman has been one of the club’s standout performers this season and has three top-flight goals to his name so far. James is likely to start again this weekend and you’d be foolish to leave him out of your fantasy team.

Forwards

It would be a good idea to pack your fantasy team with Liverpool players this week. With Newcastle United travelling to Anfield in Round 5, we could see a goal-fest. Firmino has the ability to score goals and create assists, making him one of the most sought-after forwards in fantasy football.

Jamie Vardy appears to be back to his best. With two goals and an assist in Round 4, the Englishman was the joint-top scoring forward in the previous round. Vardy has scored three goals in four Premier League so far, and we all know what happens when he gets on a goal-scoring run.
