Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 3
5728
Gameweek 3 is fast approaching, and it’s time to start thinking about your fantasy football transfers before the next round of fixtures.
There are a couple of in-form and low-budget strikers on offer this week, while Everton’s defensive players must get a mention.
After two thrilling rounds of Premier League action, let’s take a look at who has started the season in red-hot form.
Goalkeeper
The England ‘keeper has kept two clean sheets so far, and Everton are the only team in England’s top-flight yet to concede a goal. Pickford has faced a total of five shots on target in the new campaign, and is far cheaper than some of the top goalkeepers in the division.
Defenders
Lundstrum was the highest scoring defender in Gameweek 2. The 25-year-old scored a goal, as well as registering a clean sheet. Sheffield United’s next match is at home again, and Lundstram could prove to be a great ‘value for money’ selection.
You can’t ignore Everton’s back line after the start they have enjoyed. Yerry Mina has played a pivotal role in tightening up the Toffees’ defense, and with a match against out of form Aston Villa up next for Mina, another clean sheet could be on the cards.
Midfielders
If you haven’t already picked de Bruyne for your fantasy football team, get him in! The Belgian appears to be back to his best after a dazzling display against Spurs last time out. He already has three assists to his name and is destined to pick up many this season.
The Spanish midfielder enjoyed a dream home debut for his new club as Arsenal beat Burnley 2-1 in Gameweek 2. Ceballos supplied the assists for both of Arsenal’s goals last weekend and could prove to be a very shrewd acquisition.
Forwards
Many people doubted whether Pukki would be able to make the step-up after a remarkable season in the Championship. He has already proven his doubters wrong with four goals in his first two Premier League matches, including a hat-trick against Newcastle.
Like Pukki, Ashley Barnes is another striker offering great value for money. The Burnley man has scored three goals already this season, and in this sort of form, he is a guaranteed starter for Sean Dyche’s side.
