Fantasy Premier League – FPL Picks, Best Players and More for Gameweek 12

Fantasy Premier League – FPL Picks, Best Players and More for Gameweek 12
2063

With Arsenal and Manchester City missing Gameweek 12, Fantasy Premier League managers have plenty to think about ahead of the upcoming midweek fixtures.

The chances are that most FPL managers have at least three or four Arsenal/Man City assets, given that Erling Haaland (Man City) and Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal) have the highest ownership in the game. Is it time to use the Free Hit chip?

Before we go over the best players for FPL Gameweek 12, let’s take a closer look at the fixtures.

  • Brighton vs. Nottm Forest
  • Crystal Palace vs. Wolves
  • Bournemouth vs. Southampton
  • Liverpool vs. West Ham
  • Brentford vs. Chelsea
  • Newcastle vs. Everton
  • Man Utd vs. Tottenham
  • Fulham vs. Aston Villa
  • Leicester vs. Leeds

Brighton, Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Newcastle have favourable home fixtures this week. The Seagulls face Forest, who have the second-worst defensive record. Meanwhile, Palace host Wolves – the league’s lowest scorers.

It’s time to explore the best FPL players for Gameweek 12.

Goalkeepers

Robert Sanchez (Brighton), Vicente Guaita (Crystal Palace) and Nick Pope (Newcastle) look like the best goalkeeper options for Gameweek 12, as they all face low-scoring opponents.

Having kept a clean sheet against Man City last time out, Alisson (Liverpool) will be confident of achieving another shutout when West Ham visit Anfield.

Defenders

With Joao Cancelo (Man City) and William Saliba (Arsenal) missing Gameweek 12, Kieran Tripper (Newcastle), Eric Dier (Tottenham) and Conor Coady (Everton) are bound to be popular defensive picks this week.

If you’re looking for a differential defender, Max Kilman (Wolves), Ben Mee (Brentford) and Timothy Castagne (Leicester) are all worth considering.

Midfielders

Mason Mount (Chelsea) was the highest-scoring midfielder in the previous round, bagging a brace against Aston Villa. He looks set to be a popular replacement for Arsenal and Man City midfielders this week.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) will also be a popular pick after scoring the winner against Man City last weekend. Leandro Trossard (Brighton), Miguel Almiron (Newcastle) and Son Heung-min (Tottenham) are worth a punt, too.

Forwards

With Erling Haaland (Man City) out of the equation, Harry Kane (Tottenham) is the ideal replacement. Although Spurs visit Old Trafford, Kane is more than capable of adding to his tally.

Ivan Toney (Brentford) netted a double last time out, while Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) and Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham). Since they are all valued at £7.3m or lower, they are great value forward picks.
