Fantasy Premier League – Top Picks for FPL Gameweek 38
3201

The Fantasy Premier League season draws to a close on Sunday. All ten clashes in Gameweek 38 kick off at 16:00 (BST), meaning the deadline is 14:30.

With only one Gameweek remaining, FPL managers around the world will be looking to climb the rankings. Before we look at the best FPL players for Gameweek 38, let’s check out the fixtures.

  • Crystal Palace vs. Man Utd
  • Arsenal vs. Everton
  • Chelsea vs. Watford
  • Leicester vs. Southampton
  • Brentford vs. Leeds
  • Burnley vs. Newcastle
  • Man City vs. Aston Villa
  • Norwich vs. Tottenham
  • Brighton vs. West Ham
  • Liverpool vs. Wolves

Tottenham and Arsenal will be competing for the fourth and final Champions League spot. At the opposite end of the table, the relegation battle is set to go down to the wire. Who will join Norwich and Watford in the bottom three?

It’s time to go over the top players for FPL Gameweek 38.

Goalkeepers

Alisson (Liverpool) is undoubtedly the best goalkeeper for Gameweek 38. Not only has he kept 20 clean sheets this season, but he also has a favourable fixture against low-scoring Wolves.

Edouard Mendy (Chelsea) and Ederson (Man City) are the other premium picks to consider. Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), Nick Pope (Burnley) and Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) are also expected to perform well this weekend.

Defenders

Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea full-backs are the best defensive picks for Gameweek 38. Joao Cancelo (Man City), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Andrew Robertson (Liverpool), Marcos Alonso (Chelsea) and Reece James (Chelsea) could all score big on Sunday.

If you’re looking for a defensive differential, Joel Matip (Liverpool), Pontus Jansson (Brentford), Ryan Sessegnon (Tottenham), Aymeric Laporte (Man City), Matt Target (Newcastle) and Marc Cucurella (Brighton) are all in form right now.

Midfielders

There are several standout premium midfielders for Gameweek 38, including Son Heung-min (Tottenham), Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) and Sadio Mane (Liverpool). It is worth noting that Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) is injured.

There are also various cheaper options to consider, with Mason Mount (Chelsea) Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), James Maddison (Leicester) and Christian Eriksen (Brentford) at the top of that list.

Forwards

There is no denying that Harry Kane (Tottenham) is the best forward for Gameweek 38. The Spurs striker has bagged 16 goals and eight assists in the Premier League this season, including four goals in his last four outings.

Given that reliable forward options have been limited in FPL this season, Ivan Toney (Brentford), Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal), Danny Welbeck (Brighton) and Allan Saint-Maximin (Newcastle) are probably the next best options.
