Fantasy Premier League – Top Picks for FPL Gameweek 27
2781
Sunday’s Carabao Cup final means that Chelsea and Liverpool both blank in FPL Gameweek 27, as do Arsenal. On the flip side, Burnley are the only team with two fixtures.
With Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool all blanking – and Burnley doubling up – Gameweek 27 looks set to spring plenty of surprises. Here is the schedule in full.
- Southampton vs. Norwich
- Leeds vs. Tottenham
- Brentford vs. Newcastle
- Crystal Palace vs. Burnley
- Brighton vs. Aston Villa
- Man Utd vs. Watford
- Everton vs. Man City
- West Ham vs. Wolves
- Burnley vs. Leicester
Granted, Burnley are not the most exciting team in the Premier League. But games against Crystal Palace and Leicester provide their players with good opportunities to rack up FPL points.
Elsewhere, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Southampton all have favourable fixtures this weekend.
Goalkeepers
Nick Pope (Burnley) is obviously the best goalkeeper for FPL Gameweek 27, given that Burnley place twice. The shot-stopper has kept four clean sheets in his previous six matches.
Ederson (Man City) will fancy his chances of adding to his clean sheet tally against lowly Everton. Jose Sa (Wolves) is also a great option, considering Wolves’ impressive defensive record.
Defenders
Ben Mee (Burnley), James Tarkowski (Burnley) and Connor Roberts (Burnley) are all worth considering for the Clarets’ double gameweek.
Elsewhere, Joao Cancelo (Man City) and Ruben Dias (Man City) are capable of picking up points at both ends of the pitch.
Tino Livramento (Southampton) is also back in the frame and comes up against struggling Norwich on Friday night.
Midfielders
Maxwel Cornet (Burnley) and Dwight McNeil (Burnley) are the best double gameweek midfielders. Cornet has netted six goals in 14 league games since arriving at Turf Moor.
Away from the double gameweek midfielders, Riyad Mahrez (Man City) and Raheem Sterling (Man City) look like the next best options.
Son Heung-min (Tottenham) and Dejan Kulusevski (Tottenham) are also worth considering, given that Spurs face Leeds – who have the worst defensive record in the league.
Forwards
There is no denying that Wout Weghorst (Burnley) is the best forward for Gameweek 27. Since joining the Clarets last month, the giant Dutchman has bagged a goal and two assists.
Harry Kane (Tottenham) could have a field day against Leeds. Raul Jimenez (Wolves), Armando Broja (Southampton) and Emmanuel Dennis (Watford) are also worth considering.
