Gameweek 16 gets underway on Friday as Brentford host Watford. Elsewhere, a COVID-19 outbreak within the Tottenham camp threatens to disrupt this weekend’s Premier League action.

Brighton are scheduled to welcome Spurs to the Amex on Sunday. However, that clash could be postponed. Make sure you keep that in mind when it comes to assembling your FPL team.

Before we get stuck into the top FPL picks for Gameweek 16, lets’ take a look at the schedule.

• Brentford vs. Watford

• Man City vs. Wolves

• Chelsea vs. Leeds

• Liverpool vs. Aston Villa

• Arsenal vs. Southampton

• Norwich vs. Man Utd

• Burnley vs. West Ham

• Leicester vs. Newcastle

• Brighton vs. Tottenham

• Crystal Palace vs. Everton

Steven Gerrard heads back to Anfield on Saturday as Aston Villa side attempt to frustrate Liverpool. Meanwhile, Man City host Wolves, with Leeds visiting Stamford Bridge.

Here are the top picks for FPL Gameweek 16.

Goalkeeper

Norwich – who face Man Utd – are the lowest scorers in the Premier League, having netted just eight goals in 15 games this term. That makes David De Gea (Man Utd) a top FPL pick for Gameweek 16.

Given Wolves’ struggles in front of goal this season, Ederson (Man City) will fancy his chances of keeping a clean sheet on Saturday.

According to FPL statistics, Jose Sa (Wolves), Alisson (Liverpool) and Illan Meslier (Leeds) are among the most in-form goalkeepers in the game right now.

Defenders

On the topic of form, Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) is leading the way in terms of defenders. The wing-back has bagged one goal and four assists in his past five league outings.

Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa) was the surprise package in the previous round, scoring twice in Villa’s win over Leicester. Kieran Tierney (Arsenal) and Fabian Schar (Newcastle) also notched 10+ points last weekend.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Man Utd) will be confident of enjoying success at both ends of the pitch against lowly Norwich on Saturday, as will Harry Maguire (Man Utd).

Midfielders

Mason Mount (Chelsea) scored and assisted for the second game running last weekend. He has now registered five goals and two assists in his previous six league appearances.

Bernardo Silva (Man City) bagged a brace last time out, extending his scoring streak to five goals in five matches. Raheem Sterling (Man City) appears to be back in favour, too.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), Demarai Gray (Everton), Harvey Barnes (Leicester) and Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) are among the most in-form midfielders at the moment.

Forwards

Richarlison (Everton) returned to scoring ways in Gameweek 15. There were also goals for Callum Wilson (Newcastle), Neal Maupay (Brighton) and Divock Origi (Liverpool) in the previous round.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester) remains the highest-scoring forward in the game with 77 points to his name. Emmanuel Dennis (Watford) and Michail Antonio (West Ham) aren’t far behind, though.

It could be time to add Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) to your team. The Belgian striker featured in the Champions League in midweek, proving his fitness.
