• Norwich vs. Watford

• Burnley vs. Arsenal

• Manchester City vs. Southampton

• Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace

• Aston Villa vs. Everton

• Brighton vs. Leicester

• West Ham vs. Manchester United

• Tottenham vs. Chelsea

Now that we’ve check out the fixture, let’s get stuck into the top FPL picks for Gameweek 5.

Goalkeepers

Three goalkeepers – Edouard Mendy (Chelsea), Alisson (Liverpool) and Ederson (Manchester City) – have conceded just a single goal across the first four games of the season.

Nick Pope (Burnley) and Daniel Bachmann (Watford) both have favourable fixtures this weekend, coming up against Arsenal and Norwich, respectively. Both Arsenal and Norwich have only scored once this term.

Defenders

Unsurprisingly, Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) is the highest-scoring defender in the game. He picked up 12 points in the previous round, taking his tally to 34 points.

Marcos Alonso (Chelsea), Joao Cancelo (Manchester City) and Pontus Jansson (Brentford) are also among the top-performing defenders at the moment.

If you’re looking for a potential differential pick, look no further that Marcal (Wolves). He scooped a whopping 13 points last weekend, keeping a clean sheet while claiming bonus points.

Midfielders

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) notched a goal and an assist in the previous round. If he can establish some consistency, he could prove to be a shrewd pick.

Toffees duo Andros Townsend (Everton) and Demarai Gray (Everton) are excellent budget options. Townsend has a goal and two assists to his name, while Gray has bagged three goals in four outings this season.

Newcastle have the worst defensive record in the Premier League, meaning Raphina (Leeds), Stuart Dallas (Leeds) and Jack Harrison (Leeds) are all worth considering this weekend.

Forwards

With Michail Antonio (West Ham) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton) both on the sidelines, Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City), Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) and Cristiano Ronald (Manchester United) are premium forwards to consider.

For a differential forward, Odssone Edoaurd (Crystal Palace) is a great option, having bagged a brace on his Eagles debut last time out.
