Fantasy Premier League – Top Picks for FPL Gameweek 4
5020

With a host of South American players set to miss out on this weekend’s Premier League action, FPL managers have a lot think about.

High-profile name like Alisson, Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus and Raphina are just some of the players who could be impacted by COVID-19 regulations following the international break.

Anyway, before we check out the top FPL picks for Gameweek 4, let’s take a look at the fixtures.

• Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham

• Watford vs. Wolves

• Brentford vs. Brighton

• Arsenal vs. Norwich

• Manchester United vs. Newcastle

• Southampton vs. West Ham

• Leicester vs. Manchester City

• Chelsea vs. Aston Villa

• Leeds vs. Liverpool

• Everton vs. Burnley

Tottenham will be hoping to maintain their 100% record when they face Crystal Palace in Saturday’s early kick-off. Cristiano Ronaldo could make his second Manchester United debut later that day, with Man Utd hosting Newcastle.

Leicester welcome Man City to the King Power, before Aston Villa visit Stamford Bridge. On Sunday, Leeds come up against Liverpool.

Here are the best Fantasy Premier League picks for Gameweek 4.

Goalkeepers

Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) is the only goalkeeper to have kept three clean sheets in three games this season. With low-scoring Crystal Palace up next, the Frenchman will be confident of achieving a fourth straight shutout this weekend.

With Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Man City) and Emi Martinez (Aston Villa) all set to suffer from the coronavirus protocols, David Raya (Brentford) and Edouard Mendy (Chelsea) are among the highest-scoring available shot-stoppers.

Defenders

Marcos Alonso (Chelsea) is the highest-scoring defender in the game right now, having accumulated 23 points in three matches. His team-mate Recce James (Chelsea), however, is suspended for the visit of Villa.

Pontus Jansson (Brentford) is second only to Alonso in terms of points scored by defenders this season. He is a solid differential pick, as is Ethan Pinnock (Brentford).

Considering Spurs haven’t conceded a single goal this term, Eric Dier (Tottenham) and Japhet Tanganga (Tottenham) could prove to be shrewd acquisitions.

Midfielders

Hammers duo Said Benrahma (West Ham) and Pablo Fornals (West Ham) have picked up 26 points and 20 points, respectively, with the latter also scoring for Spain in midweek.

Mason Greenwood (Man Utd), Ferran Torres (Man City) and Diogo Jota (Liverpool) are all excellent mid-priced midfielder options, each coming in at under £8m.

This week’s best differential midfielder could prove to be Connor Gallagher (Crystal Palace), who bagged a brace for the Eagles last time out.

Forwards

The questions on everyone’s lips is: will Ole Gunnar Solskjaer include Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd) is his starting XI for the visit of Newcastle. If he does, CR7 could run riot against the Magpies.

Elsewhere, Michail Antonio has already racked up a whopping 40 points this season – 16 points more than the next-best forward in the game, Gabriel Jesus (Man City).

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton), Danny Ings (Aston Villa) and Jamie Vardy (Leicester) have also started the campaign in good form.
