At the start of the Champions League, last year's finalist Juventus will have to face Manchester City, who are in great form. Juventus started quite poorly the season in Serie A, while Manchester City made it clear they are a top contender for the Premier League title, winning 5 straight games, without even conceding a goal.
After 3 rounds of Serie A, Juventus have only won one point. A prestigious win over Manchester City seems to be exactly what Allegri's team needs. One of the few positive things for Juventus, so far this season, is new signing Paulo Dybala. He scored the only two goals for the team in Serie A, and also scored in the win over Lazio for the Italian Super Cup. He is expected to lead the away team attack, who have a Champions League finalist reputation to live up to.
The task ahead of Allegri and his players, however, seems rather daunting. Manchester City started the season quite impressively. The citizens are more than convincing up front and in defense they are completely denying their opponents, not allowing a single goal in 5 matches already. The problems for Manuel Pellegrini are associated with injuries of some key players like Aguero, Silva and Stirling. Injuries to all three, however, seem not to be particularly serious, as Silva and Stirling probably will even be among the starting 11 for this meeting.
This one should definitely be extremely exciting and a wonderful start to this year's campaign in the Champions League.
