Newcastle Utd - Manchester United

One of the games of the midweek round of the Premier League, which attracts particularly high attention, is that between Newcastle and Manchester United. Newcastle are being rather solid at home recently, while Manchester United are not performing at very high level in their away matches.

Manchester United are in a tough fight for a place smont the top 4 and undoubtedly the pressure on the team is much greater than that on Newcastle. The Magpies are comfortably ahead of the relegation zone, and on the other hand, they have no realistic chances to qualify for the european tournaments.

Manchester United won only 3 of all their away games in the league this season. Although the team of Louis van Gaal is focused entirely on the Premier League, United face serious difficulties, playing as a guest. Manchester United managed to win only 1 of their last 6 away games in the league.

In recent years, Newcastle are not performing well in the meetings with Manchester United. The Magpies however, achieved decent results in front of own audience this season, where they defeated Chelsea and Liverpool. Definitely the hosts have their chances in this game, but hardly their strengths will be enough for more than a draw.
