The 4th round of the Premier League starts with a great derby between Arsenal and Manchester City. Both teams started the season not quite convincingly and will certainly pursue fiercely the win in this match. The points of this meeting are extremely valuable, given that this is a direct clash between teams that will compete for the top spots in the league.
The home ground advantage will definitely have its impact on the outcome of this match. Arsenal have not lost in 19 consecutive home games in the Premier League. The gunners, however, did not perform at a decent level in any of their first 3 league games and this raises the question, whether they have the strength to defeat the reigning champion. Arsene Wenger has problems with some injured players, as Giroud, Walcott and Gnabry certainly miss the game, while star man Ramsey is under serious doubt.
Despite the surprising defeat by Stoke last weekend, the bookmakers define Manchester City as the favorite to win this match. As Zabaleta has a slight injury, it`s likely that Sagna will make his debut for City namely against his former club. Whether this would be a sensible decision by Pellegrini, remains to be seen.
After 3 rather poor performances and only 3 points won, the home side will probably be more motivated for success. A match against the champion is an ideal opportunity for Arsenal to reveal their true potential and to demonstrate that they have the strength to fight for the title this season.
