Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim to finish all-square

Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim to finish all-square

Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim have been two of the many surprise packages in the Bundesliga this season. The pair meets in a crucial clash in Berlin on Friday night.

Hertha’s league form has been poor since the return from the winter break, as the team from the German capital have won just three of their nine games since returning from the break.

Despite their poor recent form, Pal Dardai’s side are still fifth in Bundesliga table, six points behind their fourth place opponents in the table. A win would put the home side right back in the battle for the Champions League spots this season.

A home win at the Olympiastadion is not out of the question, as Hertha have won ten of their last 12 home games in the Bundesliga.

Their Bundesliga clashes with Hoffenheim have have been tight of late, with Hertha winning five times, Hoffenheim recording six wins and two games finishing in draws. However, Hoffenheim have won four of the last five meetings between the two teams.

Hoffenheim are well placed to claim a Champions League spot this season and are just four points behind second place RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga table.

Highly rated young boss Julian Nagelsmann has done a superb job in the German capital. In fact, Hoffenheim have suffered just two defeats in their last 25 Bundesliga outings. However, the visitors have failed to win any of their last four away games in the German top-flight.

Both of those aforementioned defeats have come in Hofe’s last four away games in the Bundesliga, so to win they will need to break that poor run of form on their travels against a strong Hertha team.

This game looks set to be a fascinating encounter between two very strong teams. Forebet predicts the game will finish all-square and both teams will still be in contention for the Champions League spots.
