Tottenham have endured a good campaign in the Premier League this season. However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have produced some mixed results of late.

Spurs host Stoke City at White Hart Lane on Sunday in the Premier League’s early kick-off and will be looking to bounce back from exiting the Europa League on Thursday night.

The team from north London drew 2-2 with Belgian outfit Gent at Wembley and lost 3-2 on aggregate in Europe’s secondary competition. That draw came on the back of a 3-0 FA Cup win at Fulham last weekend.

It seems Spurs are finding it hard to juggle all these competitions. The north London side will be glad to get back to Premier League action and the race for the Champions League spots on Sunday.

Tottenham currently find themselves in third place in the Premier League table, ten points behind league leaders Chelsea. They will be confident of recording a win, though, as the team from north London have recorded wins in their last seven home games in the top-flight.

Spurs have also beaten Stoke in five of the last eight meetings, including beating the Potters 4-0 in the last two meetings.

Stoke are currently sitting ninth in the Premier League table after recovering from a terrible start to the campaign. The Potters recent form has been patchy, though, as the side from Staffordshire has won just three of their last 12 games in all competitions.

However, they have lost only one of their last five outings. Mark Hughes’ side have not been great entertainment value of late, with under 2.5 goals in their last four outings. However, they will no doubt present a stubborn obstacle for the home side to overcome.

Forebet predicts that Tottenham will come out of this fixture with maximum points and enhance their chances of clinching a Champions League spot this season.
