Everton to continue good form against Bournemouth
Everton’s form has vastly improved in recent weeks and the Toffees are now six games unbeaten in the Premier League. The men from Merseyside will look to continue that good form when they welcome Bournemouth to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
Ronald Koeman’s team sit comfortably in seventh position and are regarded as the ‘best of the rest’ behind the top-six in the Premier League. In truth, it has taken awhile for Koeman’s influence to seep through into his players.
The Toffees seem to now be moving in the right direction. The Merseysider’s offloaded the likes of Oumar Niasse, Tom Cleverley, Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson in January, while also signing exciting youngster Ademola Lookman and central midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
There now seems to be a buzz surrounding the team again. Four wins from their last six league games has helped the feeling of progress. Last time out Koeman’s side drew 1-1 at Stoke in a relatively tight affair.
The Toffees will be highly confident of bouncing back to winning ways against Bournemouth in this clash, though. Bournemouth arrive on Merseyside in poor form and last time out suffered a 2-0 home defeat against relegation-threatened Crystal Palace.
One win in their last eight outings has seen the Cherries drop to 14th place in the table, seven points clear of the relegation zone. Eddie Howe’s side’s recent away form has been poor, as the Cherries have won just two of their last 13 games on their travels in the top-flight.
The team from the south coast have also struggled in their clashes with Everton, losing five of the seven competitive meetings between the two teams and winning just once, which came in the reverse fixture at the Vitality Stadium.
Judging by the two team’s respective form heading into this clash, a repeat of that victory looks unlikely. Forebet predicts a comfortable home win and the Toffees good form to continue.
