Baggies to shade clash with Boro

West Brom have been enjoying a very steady campaign in the Premier League. The Baggies currently sit eighth in the English top-flight table and are performing above all expectations. On Tuesday night Tony Pulis’ side head to the north east to face Middlesbrough.

West Brom’s recent form has been good, as the Baggies have won three of their four top-flight games. Last time out in the top-flight, Tony Pulis’ side recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Sunderland.

Despite their relative good position in the table, the Baggies have a poor recent away record, suffering three defeats in their last four outings on the road in the top-flight and failing to score in all three defeats.

Those stats are slightly harsh on the side from the Midlands, as those three defeats came at Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.

The home side's form has been poor of late in the Premier League and Aitor Karanka’s side currently find themselves 16th in the league table. The north east side’s recent poor run of form means they are just four points above the relegation zone.

Boro’s position has not been helped by their poor home record in the league. Boro have lost six of their last nine home outings in the Premier League. They have also struggled to find the net of late at the Riverside, scoring just four goals in their last four home league games.

Boro do not have a great recent record against West Brom either, having failed to beat the Baggies in the last five meetings, suffering defeat in four of those encounters. The north east team have also failed to score in their last five meetings with the Baggies.

Boro are in need of a win to take themselves clear of the relegation zone. However, Forebet predicts that West Brom will return home with maximum points and the north east side will be left looking nervously over their shoulders.
