Southampton head into their FA Cup fourth round clash with Arsenal on Saturday evening in good spirits. The team from the south coast pulled off a 1-0 win at Liverpool in the EFL CUP semi-final first leg on Wednesday night to progress to the competition's final with a 2-0 aggregate win.

In fact, the Saints recent form has really picked up, as Claude Puel’s side have recorded four wins from their last five outings, while also keeping clean sheets in all four of those victories.

Their form at St Mary’s has also improved of late, with three consecutive wins on home soil in all competitions. It looks like the Saints have finally found consistency, having been inconsistent for much of the campaign.

The home side have lost just one of their last five games against the Gunners in all competitions. The Saints have also already defeated the Gunners in the quarter-finals of this season’s EFL Cup.

However, Southampton have faced Arsenal four times in the FA Cup and have suffered three defeats, with the other game finishing in a draw.

Arsenal head into this clash in good form, having won five of their last six games in all competitions, including an FA Cup third round clash at Championship Preston North End 2-1.

The team from north London seem to be over their slight mid-season blip and are in decent form again. A big part of the Gunners recent recovery has been their good record in front of goal, scoring at least twice in their last five outings in all competitions.

Wenger’s side will travel to the south coast in confident mood after their recent good run of form. Forebet predicts that Arsenal will come out on top in this clash. However, with the Saints recent resurgence, an away win is not a foregone conclusion.
