The Tigers to be pipped to victory by the Cherries
The Premier League’s bottom club Hull host midtable Bournemouth at the KCOM Stadium, in new boss Marco Silva’s first English top-flight game.
Silva made a bright start to life in English football by guiding the Tigers to a 2-0 victory over relegation rivals Swansea in the FA Cup third round last weekend. However, the side from Humberside have struggled for victories in the top-flight of late, winning just one of their last 18 league games.
The Tigers have in fact lost four of their last five Premier League games. Their home form has not been terrible, with three of their last five league games at home ending in a draw. However, Hull’s defensive record at home in the league is poor, as the Tigers have conceded two or more goals in six of their last eight games league games on home soil.
Silva’s arrival has brought new found optimism to the Tigers fans. A win could move the home side onto level points with 17th place Crystal Palace.
Bournemouth have been enjoying a decent campaign in the top-flight, sitting in ninth place in the Premier League table. The Cherries have endured mixed fortunes of late in the top-flight, though, and last time out drew 3-3 at home against Arsenal.
Goals from Charlie Daniels, Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser gave Eddie Howe’s side a three-goal lead, but Simon Francis was dismissed and the Gunners produced a stunning comeback in the last 20 minutes. That draw was followed-up by a 3-0 defeat at Millwall in the FA Cup.
The south coast side have been involved in a number of high-scoring encounters of late, with over 2.5 goals scored in their last five outings in all competitions.
Forebet predicts that Bournemouth will record a victory on Humberside and deal the Tigers a bad blow in their bid to stay in the top-flight this season.
