Tottenham have been in outstanding form of late culminating in a 2-0 win over Chelsea in their last Premier League game. The team from north London followed that win up with a comfortable 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup at the weekend.
The latest team to test Spurs recent good form is West Brom, who make the trip to White Hart Lane in the Premier League’s early kick on Saturday.
The Baggies form of late has been inconsistent, as the Baggies have now lost three of their last five games in all competitions. One of those defeats was last time out in the third round of the FA Cup, as Tony Pulis’ side suffered a 2-1 home defeat by Championship outfit Derby County.
The defeat may have come as a slight surprise, as the side from the Midlands had recorded consecutive Premier League wins prior to the loss. In fact, Pulis’ side had moved up to eighth in the Premier League table.
Tottenham have had no such form issues of late, recording six straight wins in all competitions. Mauricio Pochettino’s team’s good form has moved them up to third in the table and seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
The side from north London have been prolific of late, firing home two or more goals in each of their last six games in all competitions. At the other end of the field, Spurs have conceded the least goals in the top-flight this season.
West Brom will be apprehensive about their visit to north London, as the Baggies have won just of their last 14 meetings with Spurs. That one win came at White Hart Lane back in 2014.
Forebet predicts that Tottenham’s winning run will continue on Saturday and the side from North London will move closer to league leaders Chelsea at the top of the table.
