Tottenham host travel-sick Burnley at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon as the home side look to continue their challenge for a top-four position this season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team are three points behind fourth-place Manchester City in the top-flight table. The side from north London have a golden opportunity to record another home win after a 3-0 mauling of Hull City last time out on home soil.

A feature of that win over Hull was the performance of Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen who scored a brace and also produced an assist. The former Ajax star has hit top form of late, scoring five goals and producing two assists in his last four top-flight appearances.

Eriksen arrived at Spurs as a bright young talent and has delivered in flashes. Spurs fans will be hoping that he can now find consistency this season. Eriksen could be the key to the Londoners securing their fifth consecutive home victory in all competitions.

Spurs are strong at home, having gone eight games unbeaten in all competitions at White Hart Lane. Pochettino’s men have also lost just two of their last 16 Premier League games on home soil. Spurs have also won their last four meetings with Burnley on home soil, so will be confident of a win in this clash.

The visitor’s recent away form is poor, as the Clarets have recorded just one win in nine games in all competitions. Sean Dyche’s team has also suffered defeat in six of their last seven top-flight outings away from home.

Burnley’s recent league record overall is not great, as the side from Lancashire has suffered defeat in four of their last five Premier League outings. To make matters worse the visitors have failed to score in their last four away games in the top-flight.

Forebet predicts that Spurs will record another home win and continue their good run of form at White Hart Lane of late.
