High-flying Liverpool will put their good form to the test on Sunday lunchtime as the Reds face a trip to inconsistent Bournemouth.
The visitors made it through to the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup with a 2-0 win over Championship Leeds last time out. The performance was just a continuation of the Reds good recent displays in recent weeks in the top-flight.
Jurgen Klopp’s team may be flying high at the moment, but they will be without arguably their most influential player Philippe Coutinho until January. The Brazilian’s absence will have an effect on the team’s style.
However, Coutinho’s absence may not be enough to stop the Klopp-inspired Liverpool juggernaut. The Reds do still have some very good attacking players in the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi. England midfielder Adam Lallana could also return from injury for this fixture.
With title rivals Manchester City and Chelsea clashing on Saturday, this game is a must-win one for the men from Merseyside.
Liverpool heads into the clash in good form, having gone 15 games unbeaten in all competitions. Klopp’s side are also unbeaten in their last seven away games in all competitions. The Reds have a good record against Bournemouth, having won the last five games against the Cherries in all competitions.
One positive for the home side is the fact that they are unbeaten in five of their last six games on home soil in all competitions. Eddie Howe’s side currently reside in midtable but have been inconsistent this season.
The Cherries have struggled for goals this season, having scored just 15 times in their 13 Premier League outings so far. They may well also struggle in this clash against a Liverpool defence that has kept three consecutive clean sheets in all competitions.
Forebet predicts a Liverpool win, which would leave the Reds very much in the race for the Premier League title this season.
