Napoli to beat Inter in crucial Serie A clash

Napoli and Inter go head-to-head on Friday night in Serie A, as both teams look to move up the table towards the European spots.
Napoli have been the perennial challengers to Italian champions Juventus for the Scudetto in recent years. However, a relatively poor run of form currently sees the men from Naples in seventh spot in the Italian top-flight.
The Azzurri have become the draw specialists in recent games, drawing four of their last six games in all competitions. However, a big win in this clash could move the home side up to fourth, just a point behind second-place Roma in the table.
Their recent home form in Serie A has been strong, as they have lost just once in their last 26 Serie A outings on home soil. The Azzurri have also been prolific on home soil at home, scoring two or more goals in 10 of their 13 league games on home soil.
The recent games between these two teams have been high-scoring. Napoli have scored two or more goals in five of their last seven clashes with Inter, while the Nerazzurri have scored two or more goals in four of the last six meetings with their Neapolitan opponents.
Inter are currently eighth in the table and four points behind their Friday night opponents. The Nerazzurri have enjoyed mixed fortunes so far this season. Last time out in Serie A Stefano Pioli’s side recorded a 4-2 home win against Fiorentina.
The visitor’s away form has been woeful of late, as Inter have suffered defeat in six of their last seven away games in all competitions. One positive for the Nerazzurri is the fact that they have scored two or more goals in their last four outings in all competitions.
