Arsenal are now unbeaten in 18 games in all competitions, but their recent form has been concerning. On Sunday the Gunners welcome Bournemouth to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have drawn their last three games at home in all competitions, having also drawn three of their last four home games in all competitions. The Gunners recent downturn in form has led to Arsene Wenger’s side slipping to fourth place in the league.
The 1-1 draw at Manchester United last time out has to be considered a point gained considering the fact that the Gunners needed a last-gasp Olivier Giroud goal to secure a draw.
The side from north London are still only trailing league leaders Chelsea by three points in the table, so a win in this clash is vital with the three teams above the Gunners playing their games on Saturday. Arsenal’s record in the Premier League in recent months is very good, as they have suffered just one defeat in their last 20 outings in the top-flight.
The north London side have only ever met Bournemouth on three previous occasions and recorded victories in all three, including both top-flight meetings last season.
Bournemouth are currently tenth in the Premier League table having enjoyed an inconsistent campaign so far. The Cherries away form in the Premier League has been poor of late, as Eddie Howe’s team have won just one of their last eight games in the top-flight.
That win actually came in their last game, though, a 1-0 win at Stoke City courtesy of a goal from defender Nathan Ake. The win moved the Cherries five points clear of the drop zone.
Forebet predicts that Arsenal will win this clash. However, the Gunners will need to produce an improved performance from their games of late to get back on track in the race for the title.
