Southampton host Everton at St Marys Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League, as both teams attempt to regain their form in the English top-flight.

Southampton have now won just one of their last five games in all competitions after Thursday night’s 1-0 defeat at Sparta Prague in the Europa League. Another worrying stat for the Saints is they have failed to score in three of their last five outings.

However, on home soil, Claude Puel’s side are very hard to beat, as they have suffered just one defeat in their last 17 games in all competitions. The Saints have also won six of their last eight home games in all competitions.

Their record against the visitors is poor in the Premier League, having won just two of the last 13 meetings with the Toffees in the top-flight.

Everton are currently seventh in the Premier League, but the Toffees have won just one of their last eight games in all competitions. Ronald Koeman’s side have also failed to win any of their last four away games, conceding nine games in the process.

Sunday’s game will be the first time Koeman has returned to Southampton since his controversial summer switch to the Toffees. The Dutchman will be hoping for an improvement in his team’s fortunes in the game.

The Toffees were tipped by some to challenge for a top-four position this season. However, their form will have to improve dramatically for the Merseysider’s to get anywhere near the Champions League spots this season.

The Toffees are unbeaten in three games against Southampton. However, they have won on just three of their 17 visits to St Marys.

Forebet predicts this game will end all square and that both teams will have to wait to see their teams pick up maximum points.
