Manchester United have struggled to hit top form of late and boss Jose Mourinho is now under major pressure to produce positive results.

This weekend the Red Devils travel to south Wales to face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. Both teams are in major need of a victory from the game.

United head into the game on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Turkish side Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night. The defeat means that the Red Devils have won just two of their last seven games in all competitions.

However, both those wins came in cup competitions, with one win in the Europa League against Fenerbahce and the other coming in the EFL Cup against rivals Manchester City.

In the top-flight, their record is poor, as the Red Devils have won just one of their last seven Premier League games. The poor run of form has seen United drop to eighth in the Premier League table.

The home side have struggled for form all season and currently lie 19th in the Premier League table, having recorded just one league win. The Swans only league win of the season was on the opening day of the campaign at Burnley.

Former USA head coach Bob Bradley has been brought in to attempt to turn things round in Wales. However, the experienced boss has failed to improve his team’s fortunes so far. The Welsh side are probably even more desperate for a win than the visitors.

With the season still in its relatively early stages, the Welsh side already look like they are in a battle for survival. The Swans will be given hope in the fact they have won three of the last four meetings in all competitions against United.

Both these sides are in desperate need of a victory for different reasons. It remains to be seen who will come out on top, but for both teams, a win could be a catalyst for a brighter campaign.
